On Wednesday March 29th, over 12 ASCE Volunteers from the Diversity and Inclusion Committee in Kansas City arrived at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. There, they provided mentoring to at least one hundred college students attending the 43rd Annual National Society of Black Engineers Convention in Bartle Hall.
The event titled “Conversations with Civil Engineers” has become an Annual event during this convention and is led by Lisa Black (ASCE Society level) and Bob Evans, P.E., F.ASCE. Thank you to Nicole Tauheed from DuBois Consultants for providing KC ASCE with the local leadership during the event.
