Wyandotte County Lake Parks Trails Cleanup

Saturday, March 27th, Trail Masons Association will be having a WyCo Trails cleanup. This meeting will be a joint effort between BHC Rhodes and ASCE KCYMG.

UMKC’s Student ASCE chapter will also be cosponsoring this event.

Trail Masons Association organizes trail rehabs and new trails in parks throughout the US. We assisted with a trails clean up in June of last year. Some of the tasks that we helped with were building new trail and cleaning up some old trails.  Duties may include anything from raking leaves in trails to hauling rock and building level pathways on sides of hills for trail.  It was a great opportunity to not only meet people outside of our group, but also allowed us to see what a great trail system we have here in KC!

Plans are for the day to start at 8:00 AM and meet at the entrance to Shelter 9 and the Boys Scout area. Click here to view a map.

This is a great opportunity to meet and network with others associated with ASCE YMG, BHC Rhodes, and the UMKC Student Chapter. If you have any questions, please contact me at Michael.Winckler@MoDOT.MO.gov for additional information, and to get signed up to help out with this wonderful opportunity.
